Project Aims

• This project was a continuation of project PHARE 4.2.9/93 VVER 440-213 Engineering Safety Review (DUKOVANY - BOHUNICE).
• It consisted in preparing the implementation of modifications for the concerned plants, adding to engineering criteria new aspects like on-stage planification, operator training, funding, communication, regulatory requests etc..., and to draw the necessary organisation for large reconstruction management. Training of project managers for extensive upgrading programmes was included.
• The aim of this project was to provide decision making assistance to the operators, for these to select the most efficient modifications taking into account impact on safety improvement, cost and remaining life time.
