Project Aims
Strengthening and enhancing the effectiveness of the nuclear safety regime in the Czech and Slovak Republics and improving the organisation and the performance of the Nuclear Safety Authorities (SUJB and ÚJD).
Project Results
The project covered 9 technical tasks:

• Review of regulatory documents;
• Assistance for the development of internal procedures to review safety documentation;
• On-site inspector training on NPP maintenance, repair and modification;
• Development of a System to Prevent the Uncontrolled Distribution of Radioactive Sources;
• Emergency Preparedness;
• Radioactive Waste Management;
• Radiation Protection;
• Quality Assurance (QA) regulatory supervision;
• Licensing Process.

The task objectives were successfully achieved. In the frame of the project 25 technical meetings took place. The results are documented in the respective minutes and technical reports.
The budget for this project was 700 000 euro.
