Project Aims

The main objectives of the project were:

• Performance of analysis of the current situation regarding requirements for structural dynamic analyses relevant to INPP and review of the regulatory approach in at least two selected EU Member States towards such analyses of NPPs (requirements and relevant software/codes);
• Production of a technical information advisory note by the Lithuanian TSOs providing guidance to Lithuanian State Nuclear Power Safety Inspectorate (VATESI) on seismic behavior of the INPP reactor building;
• Production of a technical information advisory note by the Lithuanian TSOs providing guidance to VATESI on the response of the INPP reactor building to explosions and to aircraft impact;
• Preparation of draft National Requirements for structural dynamic analyses, as applicable to INPP buildings.

Project Results

The project activities resulted in enhancement of VATESI and its TSOs staff capabilities to perform structural dynamics analysis using relevant software codes, and the development of Lithuanian National Requirements on structural dynamics analysis.
The project has been completed and final Reports issued and submitted to VATESI.
The budget for this project was 1 000 000 euro.
