Description
Objective
The aim of the project was the replacement of the existing safety valves on the steam generators on one of the 4 Units by modern safety valves. The objective included supply of equipment, related services, spare parts, auxiliary equipment and tools.
Result
The safety valves have been delivered and installed in the outage period June-July 2003. The related other equipment has been delivered. Provisional acceptance was signed on 23.7.2003.
In November 2003 Balakovo NPP notified some defects in the supplied valves. Adequate repair activities took place during the outage period June-August 2004.
