Balakovo NPP: Study for the improvement of the Fuel Loading Machine (I&C)

Description

Objective

In the existing fuel loading machines Instrumentation and Control errors in fuel positioning occurred and due to malfunction of the electronics all limiting blockings could run out of function.

The functioning electronic and mechanic parts of the fuel loading machine therefore had to be investigated, which was foreseen in this project.

Result

A study has been carried out in order to define the scope of upgrading the fuel loading machine. A final report was established at the end of 1999 with concrete proposals of what should be improved or replaced.

The equipment required for upgrading the FLM was provided under a separate Tacis project (see R1.02/96D).
