Project Aims
The overall objective of this project was to facilitate decommissiong of the nuclear power plant A-1 (HWGCR) in Slovak Republic. The specific objective was to prepare supporting documentation required for development and realization of the Second Phase of NPP A-1 decommissioning.
Project Results
- System (technical and conceptual solution) for internal diagnostics of KS-150 reactor and entire primary circuit.
- Technical and conceptual solution for separation of KS-150 reactor vesel from the primary circuit loops and pipelines.
- Technical and conceptual solution for draining off remaining D2O from lower parts of the KS-150 reactor vesel.
- Proposal of a a system for monitoring of state of KS-150 reactor during the phase of its protective enclosure.
- Conceptual design of decontamination procedures for technological equipment of NPP A-1 primary circuit, and
- Definition of initial conditions, priorities, possible decontamination technologies, decontamination reagents, etc..
The budget for this project was: 1 250 000 euro.
