Project Aims
The objectives of this project were:

  • To provide assistance in defining and setting up the Simulator Instructors Training on the Multifunctional Simulator (MFS) for twenty instructors from:
    • Kola NPP: Unit 2 (V230), Unit 4 (V213) (Russia);
    • Novovoronesh NPP: Unit 3 (V230) (Russia);
    • Rovno NPP: Unit 2 (V213) (Ukraine);
    • Bohunice NPP: Unit 1/2 (V230), Unit 3/4 (V213) (Slovak Republic);
    • Dukovany NPP: Unit 2 (V213) (Czech Republic);
    • Kozloduy NPP: Unit 3 (V230) (Bulgaria);
  • To develop and deliver of Simulator Instructors Training programmes for instructors who would use the VVER 440-230 and 213 multifunctional simulators from the EVVEREST project as part of the TACIS and PHARE 93 programmes;
  • To promote the concept of Multifunctional Simulators and their role in operator training by means of workshops for each site involving NPP training point managers and instructors, Training Centre managers and instructors, operation department managers, selected operators and safety authorities;
  • To develop for each Beneficiary a training programme for instructors who would use the multifunctional simulators;
  • To implement the training programmes for each simulator software package of the respective Beneficiaries in order to train current instructors practically over duration of 3 weeks who would later use the multifunctional simulator in training of the NPP personnel;
  • To establish a two year simulator training schedule for each site;
  • To organise a first meeting of the "MFS User Group".

Project Results

  • Provision of the workshops "Concept of MFS and their role in training" at each Beneficiary site;
  • Provision of the workshops "Requirement analysis for instructor training programme (ITP)" at each User's site;
  • Designing an instructor training programme for each Beneficiary (performed in Spain);
  • Development of training materials for ITP;
  • Training for the current instructors;
  • Designing and performance of a one-week continuing training course CTC;
  • Development of training materials for CTC for each Beneficiary;
  • Arrangement of pilot courses with three separate NPP shifts;
  • Evaluation based modification of the course material in parallel to the CT-courses on site
  • Establishment of a two year training programme for each Beneficiary;
  • Organisation of a first meeting of the "MFS User Group".
