Objective
The EC contracted TPEG (Twinning Program Engineering Group), a consortium of Community nuclear operators and engineering organisations, to assist in preparing the PHARE 1993 Nuclear Safety Programme.
The work required from the Consultant included:

• Preparation of project descriptions to be included as part of the PHARE 1993 programme documentation. These comprised 5 projects in the area of radioactive waste management and 18 projects in the area of design and operation of NPPs.
• Preparation of the draft final programme to be presented to the PHARE Management Committee.
• Assistance to the EC in preparation of the EC Experts Meeting (mid October 1993) and of the PHARE Management Committee Meeting (end October 1993) for finalisation and endorsement of the programme.

Results
The Contract was signed in September 1993. The work was completed by the end of November 1993.
