Project Aims
To develop, to verify and to apply models and computer codes and to analyze the VVER fuel rod behaviour and performance by means of transfer of the TRANSURANUS code system, an advanced tool for numerical prediction of fuel rod thermomechanical behaviour under operational and accident conditions.
Project Results
The project concerned Temelin NPP and included:
- the release and transfer of the TRANSURANUS code system to the beneficiary organization;
- a training course on use of TRANSURANUS code;
- supervision of INRE experts in developing a VVER specific code version;
- TRANSURANUS code validation against VVER experimental data;
-
supply of modern computers : installation of work stations
calculation and analysis of fuel rod performance at steady state and transient conditions; - project implementation in line with the Temelin NPP licensing process.
The project was completed according to the specified Terms of Reference. The start and end dates of the project as specified above are indicative only.
