Objective

This contract was placed in order to extend the activities of the Joint Support Office as provided under project U6.01/03 (see contract 125106).

The objectives as well as the overall tasks of the JSO were clearly defined within the Terms of Reference (ToR) of the project U6.01/03. This contract complements the tasks of the original JSO ToR and includes specific additional activities relating to the original tasks. The Contractor was required to deliver expected results in line with those detailed within the original ToR, whilst ensuring:

• Facilitated establishment of a Site Coordination Unit at each Energoatom site.
• Establishment of an improved planning process for Action Programmes.
• Provision of useful project management and administrative support to EC project managers and sector co-ordinators.
• Provision of up-to-date information on progress of Tacis and/or INSC projects.
• Establishment and maintenance of strong working relations with all programme stakeholders, including OSA Consultants at NPPs, the Ministry of Fuel and Energy, Energoatom and the SNRCU.

Results

The contract was signed in June 2007 and the activities were completed in November 2008.

The Joint Support Office provided the services described above to the satisfaction of the EC.
