Objective

NPP Kola needs spare parts for their existing Western-supplied equipment as Kola NPP operates mechanized NDT systems supplied formerly by Siemens AG. The Technical Specification, established by the Utility TVO has defined the extent of spare parts, tools, accessories, documentation and services to be supplied.

Further the Utility has identifed and specified the Supplier's and Purchaser's responsibilities needed for the project realisation.

With the supply of these spare parts the following will be accomplished:

Operational safety improvement of main primary circuit equipment (reactor pressure vessels, steam generators, main circulation pipeline of nominal diameter 500mm) by means of reliability and efficiency improvement of mechanized NDT system for the above mentioned equipment and pipelines in the following cases:

• Quick replacement of system components;
• Equipment modernization.

The spare parts are mainly focused on NDT-equipment acquired during the period 1990-1995, which has been in use for 5-10 years.

Result

The spare parts have been delivered to NPP Kola.
