Objectives

The project was carried out in the framework of the Tacis 96 On-site Assistance activities of the Armenia NPP Unit 2.
The aim of this specific project A1.01/96F is the procurement of a system to detect possible leakage between the primary and secondary loops.

Project Description

Scope of the project

 
The following activities were planned:

• Issue of the Technical Specifications for the equipment;
• Issue of the Evaluation Criteria Report for the equipment tender;
• Tenders evaluations;
• Selection of the suppliers;
• Project implementation follow up after contract awarding including supervision of shop and on-site acceptance tests and commissioning of the equipment, including personnel training.

Implementation of the project

 
The activities performed were the following:

• Technical Specifications were issued in March 1998;
• Tender Evaluation Criteria Report was issued in October 1998;
• Tender was launched in November 1998;
• Tender evaluation was carried out in the period February-May 1999;
• Contract was awarded in October 1999 to MGP Instruments. Contract value was Euro 330,510;
• The equipment was delivered on-site in September 2000;
• The installation was completed in December 2000.

No major problems were found in the performance of this project.
