Project Aims

The main objective of this project was to provide assistence to the Ignalina NPP for the effective management of the Unit 2 safety upgradings implementation and in particular to the activities related to the installation of a second diverse Shutdown System./>/>

Project Results

The project resulted in establishment of a special Project Management Unit at the Ignalina site which included plant representatives and Western experts. The unit provided support to the management for development of Technical Specifications for design, purchase and installation of Ignalina NPP plant safety upgradings, as well as other relevant assisstence, needed for the implementation of the second diverse shutdown system.

The budget for this project was 1700 000 euro./>/>
