Beneficiary Organizations Details
Czech State Office for Nuclear Safety (SUJB): http://www.sujb.cz
Project Aims
- The project purpose was to qualify the NDT process for inspection of selected safety-relevant areas. Qualification had to be achieved following ENIQ (European Network for Inspection and Qualification) and IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency) methodologies. It was expected to result in a more accurate detection of defects, and the determination of their parameters, including dimensions, which is needed for integrity assessment.
- This project had also to support the work of the Czech regulatory authority – the State Office for Nuclear Safety (SUJB)- through enhancement the technical capabilities of SUJB and its national TSOs.
Project Results
The project comprised design and manufacturing of test assemblies, implementation of advanced non-destructive testing methods, development and optimisation of inspection procedures, elaboration of technical justification, performance and evaluation of practical trials. Finally, all of the required NTD qualification evidence were supposed to be gathered in the Qualification Dossier.
The budget for this project was: 2 100 000 euro
