Project Aims
The main objective of the project was to support the implementation of a risk based maintenance (RBM)/reliability centred maintenance (RCM) strategy for VVER 440/213 units at Dukovany NPP. In particular:

  • One or two plant systems had to be selected for a pilot RBM/RCM study, considering the available databases related to maintenance and reliability and other relevant PSA outputs and conclusions available for Dukovany NPP;
  • The selection and implementation of an appropriate software for a RBM/RCM organization was a part of the project too.

Project Results
The project was completed by performance of the following tasks:

  • Definition of the methodology;
  • Analyses of Dukovany available databases;
  • Choice of an appropriate method for system selection;
  • Selection of two systems;
  • Preparation of RBM/RCM models;
  • Implementation of an appropriate software for system analyses;
  • Performance of RBM/RCM quantifications for the selected systems;
  • Eveluation of the study results and formulation of recommendation for future activities.
