Project Aims

• Evaluation of efficiency of NDE procedures able to be used for In-service inspection of primary circuit components (other than RPV) based on improved ISI programme;
• Definition and supply of test assemblies and calibration blocks representative of five inspected areas;
• Definition of qualification procedures and performance of qualification exercises for five selected inspection areas;
• Presentation of the ISI efficiency improvement and NDE qualification results to safety authorities and to the reviewers.

Project results

• Transfer of technology in the required scope has been acomplished;
• Elaboration of inspection procedures for In-service inspection of primary circuit components;
• NDE equipment operational and maintenance procedures;
• Manufacturing technology of the test blocks with artificia implanted reflectors;
• Use of ultrasonic techniques ISI methodology on the primary circuit components.
