South Ukraine Diagnostic Equipment
Description
Background
The project started based on the Technical Specifications prepared under the 94 Tacis Programme.
The contract dossier with the supplier awarded in the tender launched in 1995 was cancelled after the cancellation of the open tender due to non-compliance with tender procedures.
The European Commission approved the Procurement Agent to perform an informal consultation for the equipment purchase in April 1998.
For this informal consultation only one bid was received, from INKLA.
Dated February 10th 2000, the supply contract with IKLA was signed by the European Commission and a few days later by the rest of the parties involved.
An on-site Kick-off Meeting took place the 5th of June 2000 with the participation of SU NPP, INKLA and DTN.
Objectives
To provide South Ukraine NPP with a modern equipment laboratory in order to check and perform diagnosis of the plant high voltage equipment status, as well as to provide plant personnel assistance, training and experience in the field of electrical equipment monitoring and diagnosis.
Project Results
Project outputs:
- Gas chromatography apparatus.
- Equipment for oil tan-delta measurements.
- Meganometers.
- Equipment for inductance, tan-delta measurement.
- Thermovision apparatus.
- Radio apparata.
- Maintenance and operational procedures.
- Personnel training.
- Final report.
The equipment was delivered at SU NPP by the end of October 2000.
The testing of the equipment and the personnel training were carried out from 3rd to 8th December 2000.
The chromatograph was installed in the Chemical Department and SU NPP Management expressed their high satisfaction with the performance of the equipment.
