Spare Parts for Zaporoshye NPP

Description

1) Background
In Zaporoshye NPP as in other NPPs of VVER-1000 Type, a large amount of components have been purchase by the Soviet Union from Western European manufacturers. These components had reached their life time and had to be replaced. In many cases they could only be replaced by the original types.

2) Objectives
With this project a large number of safety related spare parts had to be supplied. In order to define the most urgent needs, a list of safety related spare parts, in accordance with their urgency had been established.
3) Project results-achievements
A range of contracts have been placed by the EC under the present Tacis Project to supply the most urgently needed spare parts. This has been done in the following 5 different contracts with Western Manufacturers:

  • WO 11 SB 7021-006 (I), Supplier VHB, worth 348 843 Euro;
  • WO 11 SB 7021-009 (II), Supplier Lisega, worth 8 546 Euro;
  • WO 11 SB 7021-010 (III), Supplier Werner Riester AUMA, worth 17 921 Euro;
  • WO 11 SB 7021-011 (IV), Supplier IBL, worth 644 144 Euro;
  • WO 11 SB 7021-013 (V), Supplier Hahn & Kolb, worth 18 833 Euro.

All these contracts have been implemented, the related spare parts have been delivered and installed in the NPP Zaporoshye.
