Project Aims
Building on the past assistance, the technical assistance under this contract had to cover the following issues:
- To improve skills of VATESI and TSOs staff to review of EQ of safety important systems;
- To support in developing of VATESI requirements for implementation of ENIQ methodology within Lithuania;
- To support in developing of VATESI regulatory guide on implementation of Requirements for the Ignalina NPP accident analysis;
- To support in developing the governing procedures for the operation of VATESI EC accident analysis group;
- To gain specific scientific knowledge related to questions on reactor core physics;
- To improve skills on using of DBA coupled computer codes to perform regulatory analyses;
- To support in developing of VATESI requirements on BDBA assessment and management for RBMK-1500 reactor;
- To gain specific scientific knowledge related to questions on severe accident physics. The current project also includes the purchase of software and equipment necessary for fulfillment of the above mentioned objectives.
Project Results
All the project activities have been implemented successfully. On the job training related to questions on preparation of input deck and application on best estimate coupled codes ATHLET and QUABOX/CUBBOX for RBMK-1500 was also considered and executed.
Project budget was 500 000 euro.
