Project Aims
The project objective was to strengthen and to enhance the effectiveness of the Nuclear Safety Regime in Slovenia and to improve the performance of the Slovenia Nuclear Safety Administration (SNSA) addressing:

  • Legal structures;
  • Organization and staff;
  • Inspection and enforcement;
  • Staff competence;
  • Licensing activities;
  • Radioactive waste management;
  • Emergency preparedness and radiological protection.

Project Results
The provided assistance covered all of the initally specified subjects and included specialized training for SNSA staff, as well as support to enhance the regualtory autority assessment and inspections capabilities.
The project was completed according to the specified Terms of Reference. The start and end dates of the project as specified above are indicative only.
