Objective

This project is part of a multi-annual project consisting of 4 parts spread over 6 budget years.

The projects R/RA/01 to R/RA/04 all have the same aim, i.e. to provide support, transfer of application and verification of Western Codes to Gosatomnadsor. Within the present project the relevant necessary office equipment was to be delivered.

The project was divided into the following tasks:

Task 1: Standards and regulations for nuclear safety.
Task 2: Development and improvement of the Russian Licensing systems.
Task 3: Regulatory systems for monitoring operator training and licensing.
Task 4: Regulatory requirements for documentation on operational and emergency procedures.
Task 5: Requirements and programme package for training of regulatory authority experts.
Task 6: Incident reporting and analysis including regulatory response.
Task 7: Regulatory inspection of pressurized NPP components.
Task 8: Regulatory radiometric inspections.
Task 9: Regulatory radiochemical tests and inspections.
Task 10: General methods of work of regulatory authorities.
Task 11: Project management.

Result

The expected result has been achieved in line with the tasks defined above, mainly consisting of:

• Upgrading of the technical infrastructure by supply of office equipment and the related software. (10 PCs, 3 Work Stations IBM Model 580, 2 IBM Work Stations Model 370, 5 IBM X-Stations 140, 5 Lexmark Laser printers, 5 UPS, LAN-Equipment and related software). Remark: This equipment was not delivered within the time scale of this project;
• Assistance in accident analysis and accident management;
• Assistance in accident analysis and accident management, but in particular for Severe Accident Management;
• Assistance in Code validation.
