Project Aims

Phase 1 and 2

• To establish that a need existed for updating the I&C;
• To define a final updated design concept for the overall I&C architecture;
• To define optimum scope and approach to be adopted in respect of replacing and / or upgrading existing systems;
• To prepare bid invitation documents, including detail requirements specifications for new systems and fort upgrading of existing ones;
• To specify bid evaluation methodology and criteria;
• To specify a Quality Assurance programme.

Phase 3

• Technical and commercial assistance and support during evaluation for submitted bid proposals and recommendation on bidder selection;
• Technical and commercial assistance during negotiation and preparation of contract packages;
• Support during completion of the design basis and preparation of plant data;
• Technical and management support during implementation and commissioning of the system upgrade;
• Training of Beneficiaries personnel involved in the upgrade process.

Project results

• Development of upgrade Concept for the I&C upgrading project;
• Providing the Design support including development of detailed technical specification that would enable CEZ to identify potential Suppliers capable of meeting the requirements;
• Providing the licensing support for the I&C upgrading project;
• Elaboration of the Bid inquiry packages;
• Providing the general technical support during the bid evaluation and contract award phases support.
