Project Aims

• To improve and to extend the present capability to analyse Design Basis Accidents (DBA) of VVER-440/213 reactors with the aid of advanced thermal-hydraulic codes;
• To perform selected relevant DBA analyses according to Western methodology.

Project Results

• An important hardware, system software and network have been installed and putting into operation at UJV Rez;
• The transfer, validation and the training of the Czech experts for special and effective application of the code ATHLET were performed;
• The calculations of the selected cases have been performed successfully and have been documented accordingly.
