Zaporozhye NPP - Spare Parts for important Safety equipment - Lot 2
Description
Objectives
Maintenance of safety related equipment and if needed the replacement of worn parts is necessary to preserve the adequate safety function of the equipment and to enhance plant availability. Some of the safety related components of the Zaporozhye NPP were running out of the safety margin and parts had to be replaced with approved spare parts.
As part of the Tacis 1995 nuclear safety assistance programme for Ukraine, it was decided to procure urgently needed spare parts required for the maintenance and repair of foreign supplied equipment that had been installed at Zaporozhye NPP in the past.
The NPP operator, together with the On-Site Assistance Consultant prepared a list of urgently needed spare parts and these were divided into 5 lots:
U1.03/95F-2: Spare parts for electric components a.o. transformers, tip-switchgears, lever-switchgears safety-locks, pumping units, brake joint bars, electronic unit for torque motors, guiding rolls - INKLA
U1.03/95F-3: Spare parts for emergency power supply – a.o. AC-invertors, transformers, electronic boards, power module – VHB-Varta
U1.03/95F-4: Spare parts for valves drawing nr ZI-3055025 – Babcock-Sempell, a.o. throttling disks and piston rings.
U1.03/95F-5: Spare parts for valves - Persta type - a.o. syphon bellows assembly, sealing rings, stems and control units for emergency regulating cut-off valves (Herion) – PERSTA / I.B.L..
U1.03/94F-8: Spare parts for emergency power supply – additional AC inverter due to remaining budget - VHB-Varta
The spare parts and special equipment were purchased by negotiated direct agreements with the original suppliers and were identical to the original parts. All required documentation was included in the scope of supply.
Project Results
This contract is for Lot 2: Spare parts for electric components a.o. transformers, tip-switchgears, lever-switchgears safety-locks, pumping units, brake joint bars, electronic unit for torque motors, guiding rolls.
It was contracted directly with the company INKLA and the contract was signed by all parties in December 1997. The equipment was manufactured and delivered according Technical Specification.
The Certificate of Final Acceptance was signed 30 September 1998.
