Uranium exploration took place in Russia after the WWII and vein types mine were discovered in Stavropol. In the fifties uranium exploration was mainly concentrated on regions outside of Russia.
Objectives
The LBB (Leak Before Break) project was a part of the OSA project activities for Medzamor NPP unit 2. The on site utility in Medzamor NPP during the project was Sogin. The Contractor of the LBB/LDS project was Ansaldo Energia in consortium with Empresarios Agrupados and KONEXP (Russia).
Purpose
A comprehensive ISI programme of the Steam Generators will assure their safe and reliable operation in the Armenian NPP with a resultant benefit to the overall Nuclear Safety of the NPP
