With this project Training of NPP Operators at CAG Greifswald full scale simulator was planned.
(2 weeks courses for 6-7 participants were foreseen)
Result
The float technical base (FTB) “Lepse” is one of the most hazardous objects for the environment and population of Russia’s North-West. The ship’s spent nuclear fuel (SNF) storage facilities (channels and caissons) contain 639 spent nuclear fuel assemblies (SNFA), part of which are damaged.
The Ostrovnoy naval base started operation in the 1960s for the refuelling and storage of spent nuclear fuel of nuclear submarines.
