Under its research programmes, the European Commission has supported the development of the comprehensive RODOS (Real time Online Decision Support) system for the off-site management of nuclear emergencies.
The objectives that will need to be achieved in further elaborating a national policy and strategy in cooperation with the relevant Chinese authorities and agencies are the following:
• To perform analysis of different options for the management of radioactive waste and spent fuel;
The project implemented in 2014-2017 under the auspices of the Instrument for Nuclear Safety Cooperation (INSC) has effectively supported the People’s Republic of China in enhancing their capacities and capabilities for the prevention and management of severe accidents and arrangements for emerge
Project summary will be published after the completion of the project.
The objectives to be achieved during this project are:
• To create within the regional authority ABACC a new safeguard capability enabling the verification of complex plant design and lay-out ("as-is")
The European Union, together with its Chinese Partners, has successfully implemented a first joint project aimed at enhancing and strengthening the nuclear safety regulatory framework in China in accordance with highest standards and best international practice adopted in the EU.
