The LBB (Leak Before Break) project was a part of the OSA project activities for Medzamor NPP unit 2. The on site utility in Medzamor NPP during the project was Sogin. The Contractor of the LBB/LDS project was Ansaldo Energia in consortium with Empresarios Agrupados and KONEXP (Russia).
1) Background
The present project is a continuation of on-site-assistance (OSA), rendered by RWE Energy as the EC appointed Consultant to Zaporoshe NPP.
2) Objectives
This project had 2 main different categories of objectives and tasks:
Purpose
A comprehensive ISI programme of the Steam Generators will assure their safe and reliable operation in the Armenian NPP with a resultant benefit to the overall Nuclear Safety of the NPP
1) Background
The working plan and budget of the NNEGC-ENERGOATOM (EA) for the year 2000 defined training and continuing education of the managers and of the manager successors. However, fulfilment of these plans proved to be complicated due to the following reasons:
1) Background
Reliability of valves used for controlling the essential systems is a major element influencing the operational safety of NPPs. Operating NPPs in Ukraine contain approximately 5000 foreign-made valves of Western European supply.
