The TACIS programmes for Nuclear Safety agreed upon between the European Commission and the relevant authorities of beneficiary states contained provisions for on-site assistance (OSA).

Objective
The subject of this project is the supply to Kola NPP of a burner system for the radwaste incinerator plant. The burner system will be used for heating up the incinerator and afterwards to control the burning process.

Background
The aim of the on-site assistance (OSA) Large scale project for Kola NPP was to maintain a strong EU engagement in order to support the country efforts to deal with problems inherited from the past in the context of on-going budget difficulties.
