1) Background
Rovno NPP unit 3 is equipped with some foreign made piston shock absorbers. Due to difficult economic conditions, it was difficult to Rovno NPP to procure relevant spare parts and to implement adequate maintenance.
Objective
The aim of the project is the refurbishment of the present Process Monitoring System (PMS) with full consideration of the possibility to operate with PMS functions in the present as well as in the new system.
Background
The TACIS programmes for Nuclear Safety agreed upon between the European Commission and the relevant authorities of beneficiary states contained provisions for on-site assistance (OSA).
Objectives
Objective
This project consists of replacement of the current 2 (two) booster pumps for the feed water pumps in one Balakovo NPP.
Result
This project was combined with project R1.02/95G and jointly tendered, contracted and supplied.
Objectives
The project aimed to the modernization of the Fuel Loading Machine (FLM) at Balakovo NPP, in order to meet the machine availability and in compliance with the operation requirements of the NPP.

Objectives
The present TACIS project U1.01/95C aims at replacing the 12 SG (steam generator) safety valves (2 per SG) of each unit 1 and unit 2 of Rovno NPP. The new safety valves should have the following functions:
Objectives
The present TACIS project U1.01/96C aims at providing spare parts for valves for unit 3 pressuriser and pressure accumulators, which were originally supplied by German companies Sempell and Bopp & Reuther.
Background
Objective
According to the intention of the European Union and the Russian Ministry of Atomic Power the operational safety assistance, which started with TACIS 92, continued with TACIS 96 with the same Western and Eastern Utilities and NPPs.
