Objective
The subject of this project is the supply to Kola NPP of a burner system for the radwaste incinerator plant. The burner system will be used for heating up the incinerator and afterwards to control the burning process.
Background
The aim of the on-site assistance (OSA) Large scale project for Kola NPP was to maintain a strong EU engagement in order to support the country efforts to deal with problems inherited from the past in the context of on-going budget difficulties.
Background
Kola NPP located in Murmansk Oblast in north western Russia comprised 4 power units of VVER 440 type reactors. Unit 1 is in operation since 1973, unit 2 since 1974, unit 3 since 1982 and unit 4 since 1984.
