Background
The accident at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant in Ukraine in April 1986 demonstrated the need for adequate radiation early warning systems that allow authorities to take appropriate and timely actions in the event of a major radiological accident.
This project aimed to support the Nuclear Safety Authority of Georgia (NRSS) in the field of legislation, regulation and regulatory approach (licensing, transport, waste management and storage, inspection, ionising radioactive sources).

This project aimed to supply equipment to the Nuclear Safety Authority of Georgia (NRSS).
This project consisted of the transfer of European Regulatory methodology and practices to the Nuclear Safety Authority (NRSS) of Georgia. The project was implemented in 2009 and 2010 and continues the work carried out in project GE/RA/01.
