1) Background

The original valves, 48 valves in total, for which spare parts are necessary (Gate valves, Globe valves, Check valves) were supplied in 1976 by GEC Alsthom-VELAN.

Background
The Russian Federation decided to transform and reinforce its State System of Accountancy and Control (SSAC) of nuclear materials. The kernel of this improvement was the implementation of modern SSAC approaches based on international experience.

Project Aims
The objective of the project consisted in delivering and installing communication equipment in order to improve the communication for Off-site Emergency preparedness in Kazakhstan and Ukraine.
