Objective
The European Commission organised a press trip to Kiev and Chernobyl NPP from 22-25 February 2011. Twenty five journalists participated in the visit and reported on the existing situation at Chernobyl NPP 25 years after the accident on 26 April 1986.

1.Objectives
Following the Fukushima Daiichi accident, the EU nuclear power plants had to undergo a comprehensive and transparent assessment of their safety and risks ("EU Stress Tests"). Subsequently the EU opened this assessment for voluntary participation of neighbouring countries.
