Background
Bilibino NPP
Bilibino nuclear power and district heating plant (NPDHP) was the first nuclear power station built beyond the Polar Circle in the central part of the Chukotka peninsula, and it provides electricity for the regional mining and gold mining industries.
Background
The aim of the on-site assistance (OSA) Large scale project for Kola NPP was to maintain a strong EU engagement in order to support the country efforts to deal with problems inherited from the past in the context of on-going budget difficulties.
Background
The TACIS programmes for Nuclear Safety agreed upon between the European Commission and the relevant authorities of beneficiary states contained provisions for on-site assistance (OSA).
