Under its research programmes, the European Commission has supported the development of the comprehensive RODOS (Real time Online Decision Support) system for the off-site management of nuclear emergencies.
The objectives that will need to be achieved in further elaborating a national policy and strategy in cooperation with the relevant Chinese authorities and agencies are the following:
• To perform analysis of different options for the management of radioactive waste and spent fuel;
The project summary will be published after the completion of the project. The project has 2 components:
The project implemented in 2014-2017 under the auspices of the Instrument for Nuclear Safety Cooperation (INSC) has effectively supported the People’s Republic of China in enhancing their capacities and capabilities for the prevention and management of severe accidents and arrangements for emerge
Project Description
The European Union, together with its Chinese Partners, has successfully implemented a first joint project aimed at enhancing and strengthening the nuclear safety regulatory framework in China in accordance with highest standards and best international practice adopted in the EU.
Background
Background
The primary objective of this project was to strengthen and support the national nuclear safety regulatory system in Ukraine by promoting the integration of European Union (EU) regulatory practice. The project was considered successful in this respect.
UK/TS/31 was a 2+2 project, for support to the nuclear safety regulator of Ukraine (SNRCU) in the assessment of EU financed safety improvements within industrial project U1.04/03 "Upgrading of electrical equipment of reactor control and protection system and neutron flux monitoring equipment on K
UK/TS/32 was a technical support project including 2+2 tasks, for support to the nuclear safety regulator of Ukraine (SNRCU). It included 11 technical tasks mainly related to remaining modernisation steps of Khmelnitsky 2 and Rovno 4 (K2R4).
UK/TS/28 is a 2+2 project in which EU Technical Support Organisations support the Ukrainian Nuclear Safety Authority (SNRCU) in its activities on licensing related assessments of EU financed improvement measures in Zaporozhye NPP.
UK/TS/29 was a technical support project in which the nuclear safety authority of Ukraine (SNRCU) was supported in reviewing safety documentation, mainly related to Khmelnitsky 2 and Rovno 4 (K2R4).
1) Background
This project consisted in the supply of computer and office equipment to the SNRCU, namely: 3 servers, 1 switch for servers, 40 personal computers (PC), 40 software licences for PC, 10 personal printers, 5 network printers, 1 portable multimedia projector, 1 portable screen and 1 portable board.
1) Background
The main objective of this project was to consolidate the achievements of the preceding projects (UK/RA/01,02,03) and to develop the assistance to SNRCU in the following fields:
1) Background
This project "Transfer of Western European Regulatory Methodology and practices to the nuclear safety authorities of Ukraine" was a follow up of a previous project which was implemented through two successive contracts.
