According to the intention of the European Union and the Russian Ministry of Atomic Power the operational safety assistance at Novovoronezh NPP, which started with TACIS 96, continued with TACIS 98 with the same Western Utility.

This is the follow-up of project with CRIS number 154814.
1.Objectives
Following the Fukushima Daiichi accident, the EU nuclear power plants had to undergo a comprehensive and transparent assessment of their safety and risks ("EU Stress Tests"). Subsequently the EU opened this assessment for voluntary participation of neighbouring countries.
